What is the best way to use the Lash & Brow Serum?
Ostriderm’s Lash & Brow Serum is intended as a nighttime routine. After cleansing your skin apply the product on your brows and lashes for a couple of hours. Consider keeping the serum overnight as it allows for better absorption and moisturization.
Is this serum Halal Certified?
No, we currently do not have halal certification for our products, this means that the Serum should be washed off before performing Wudu’ and Prayers. If you have more concerns regarding this subject, leave us a message here and we will be happy to assist you.
Can I apply the serum during the day as well for increased results?
As for any other oil-based serum, exposure to the sun while having the product on could lead to skin irritation, therefore we do not recommend using our Lash & Brow Serum during day time if you are going to be exposed to sunlight.
Using it consistently in your nighttime routine and on a daily basis will lead to desired results.
Can I use the Lash & Brow Serum if I have Lash Extensions?
We do not recommend the use of our Lash & Brow Serum if you have Lash Extensions because this serum is oil-based. In general, oils can weaken the adhesive used for lash extensions causing premature fall-out of your extensions.
When should I Expect results?
While results may vary from one individual to another; our recommendation is to use the product consistently daily to expect feeling results within a couple of weeks. Read our full article on hair growth cycle.
Can I use the serum on my lashes before applying mascara?
The short answer is no. Our Lash & Brow serum is not a primer and should not be used as a primer for your mascara. Using it at night and washing it before you apply mascara the next day will already make your mascara look better.
Why do I sometimes feel like the serum is dry and has the texture of solid crystals?
Depending on its property, Ostrich oil may begin to solidify below 20oC, you may notice that the serum has begun to turn into small crystals. This is no reason to worry at all, the serum will re-dissolve into its liquid form upon application, and its crystallization will not slow down its absorption or effectiveness.
If you prefer a smoother experience, you may place the bottom of the bottle under warm water for about a minute or two before use.
Can I use the serum while pregnant or breastfeeding?
If you have concerns, we recommend consulting your doctor before applying any products when pregnant or breastfeeding.
